Dear Friends,
We have come to an important part of our
Association history. We are going
for a Mass License Renewal for the first time. We have totally divided
Chennai city into 9 areas and appointed few of our members as License
Application Collecting In-charges to make it convenient for you. All that
you have to do is, please go to appropriate area in-charge and surrender him
your license application form and get an acknowledgement from him issued by
our Association. There are three type of renewals. Kindly check your
category and accordingly submit relevant documents so as to make the process
easier.
1) Those who have license upto 31st December 2008 and want to renew it for
the year 2009, please attach your original license along with covering
letter duly fixed with Court Fee Stamp for Rs. 2 and take a Xerox copy of
these two copies and hand over it to the Area In-charge.
2) Those who have applied for renewal for the year 2007 or 2008 and waiting
to get it, attach the Xerox copy of your license, copy of acknowledgement
and covering letter duly fixed with Court Fee Stamp for Rs. 2 and take a
Xerox copy of these three copies and hand over it to the Area In-charge.
3) Those who have already applied for license and not yet received their
license, attach the Xerox copy of acknowledgement letter along with covering
letter duly fixed with Court Fee Stamp for Rs. 2 and take a Xerox copy of
these two copies and hand over it to the Area In-charge.
The area in-charge, in turn, will check it and issue a Temporary
Acknowledgement from our Association. Later, we will collect all the license
application and submit it directly to the Commissioner and will get you
acknowledgement from the COP and handover it back to you.
We have been doing lot of ground work to make the process smooth and safer
and get the license within a stipulated time. This is the right time for you
to show the Association what you are going to do for strengthening it.
Please co-operate with us and submit the relevant forms to the area
in-charge. Some of you might find it easier to reach Commissioner Office
instead of area incharge’s center. But make sure that you submit your forms
at area in-charge, even if you have to take much pain to reach him. It is a
one-time process. We have plenty of things to do after that. While going to
meet the area in-charge, please make a call to him and go there. I herewith
attached the area in-charge details and covering letter.

Please take a printout of this and if there is any doubt, please clarify
in the groups, so that the explanation will reach all the members.
After getting the acknowledgement from COP Office, we will inform and return
it to you. While you come and collect the acknowledgement from COP you will
also receive your Calendar and your Membership Certificate.
